Gameweave

A game won't load

If a game is stuck loading, shows a network error, or won't open at all, here's how to work through it.

Network error

A "Network error" message usually means your device can't reach Gameweave's servers right now. Check your internet connection, then try again. If your connection is fine but the error persists, Gameweave's servers may be temporarily unavailable — try again in a few minutes.

Offline mode

Some games continue to work without a connection once loaded, using moves queued locally until you're back online — see Disconnected mid-game for how reconnecting and syncing works. If a game never finished loading in the first place, offline mode can't help, since there's nothing loaded yet to continue.

A stale install

If you installed Gameweave to your home screen or as a desktop app (see Install the app) and a game won't load only in that installed copy — but works fine in a regular browser tab — the installed copy may be running an old, cached version. Fully close the app and reopen it, or reinstall it, to pick up the latest version.

Still stuck

If a specific game consistently fails to load while others work fine, use the email handoff on this page and mention which game — that's useful information for tracking down the cause.
