Losing your connection in the middle of a game doesn't lose your progress. Here's what happens and how to get back in.

Moves you make while offline are queued on your device rather than lost. Gameweave keeps track of them locally and does not require an immediate connection to accept a move you've already made.

When your connection comes back, Gameweave automatically reconnects and sends any queued moves to sync up with the game's current state. You don't need to do anything manually — just reopen the game (or bring the tab back to the foreground) once you're back online.

Occasionally the board may briefly show a stale state right after reconnecting while it catches up. Give it a few seconds; if it still looks wrong after that, refresh the page or reopen the app. Your opponent's moves made while you were disconnected are still applied correctly on the server even if your screen took a moment to catch up.

If you closed the app or browser entirely rather than just losing connection, you can get back into an in-progress game from your games list — it picks up exactly where the game currently stands.
