Great games are made by people.

We build the tools that help them get there faster.
Gameweave exists to help people design, playtest and share games worth playing. Our AI makes that work faster; it does not do the work for you. This page sets out what we believe, what we expect from everything published here, and how we keep the platform safe for the people who make and play it.

Our principles

Four commitments shape every tool we build and every decision we make about what belongs on Gameweave.
  • Great games are made by people
A game is a hundred judgment calls: how a turn should feel, when the tension should peak, which rule to cut. Those calls are the craft, and they belong to the designer. Everything we build starts there.
  • AI serves the craft
Our AI takes on the work that slows designers down, so they spend their time on the decisions that matter. It drafts and it tests; it does not decide what your game is.
  • Quality over volume
Making games faster should mean making better games sooner, not making more of them. We do not want a catalog buried in low-effort, mass-generated filler, and we do not publish it.
  • Originality, with credit
Mechanics belong to everyone; that is how genres grow. Artwork, rules text and names belong to the people who made them. Every package declares its licence, and we act on valid copyright complaints.

How we use AI

AI on Gameweave is an assistant in the workshop, not the designer. It shortens the distance between an idea and a game you can put on the table, and it never takes a decision out of your hands.
Where AI helps
  • •
Brainstorm a concept and find the mechanics that fit it
  • •
Draft a rulebook from your game itself, so the text matches how it plays
  • •
Draft artwork for your cards, tiles and boards
  • •
Play your draft as AI opponents, so you can test it before you have a full table
What stays yours
  • •
The idea, the theme and the feel of play
  • •
Which rules make the cut, and which do not
  • •
Whether it is ready, and whether it ships
  • •
Ownership: we make no claim to what you create
Your work is not training data
We do not use your games, art or messages to train AI models, and our AI providers are contractually prohibited from doing so with anything we send them.

Slop isn't welcome here

AI makes it cheap to produce something game-shaped. A game worth playing still takes care, testing and taste. Before you publish, we ask that your game meets this bar:
  • It works
It compiles, it can be played to the end, and its rules describe the game that is actually there.
  • It has been played
By you, by friends, or against AI players, before you ask strangers to spend an evening on it.
  • It is yours
You made it or hold the rights to everything in it, and the licence you declare is accurate.
  • It is presented honestly
Its name, description and art show the game people will get.
What we remove. We treat bulk-generated or near-duplicate games, placeholder text and art, and packages published to crowd discovery rather than to be played as spam under our Terms of Service. We may hold, reject or remove them, and repeatedly flooding the catalog is an account-level violation.

Community guidelines

Gameweave is for everyone at the table. Games, profiles, messages, calls and anything else you share must stay clear of:
  • Child safety
  • Harassment and bullying
  • Hate
  • Violence and extremism
  • Self-harm
  • Sexual content
  • Illegal activity
  • Malware
  • Spam and scams
  • Impersonation
  • Intellectual property
The full rules are section 4 of our Terms of Service.

Our approach

Safety is layered: we stop what we can before it reaches anyone, find what gets through, and act on it consistently.
  • Prevent
Every package passes automated checks before anyone can install it: a malware scan, a compile check, screening of its name, description and rules, and moderation of its artwork. Anything that needs a person’s judgement is held for human review rather than published.
  • Detect
Anyone can report a game, a profile or a message from inside the app, or by email without an account. People review reports and automated flags, and we review reports within 24 hours.
  • Enforce
Outcomes follow a published ladder: warn, remove content, mute, suspend or ban, weighed on severity and history. We tell you what we did and why, and you can appeal.

Every game, verified

Every package published to Gameweave is signed the moment it is published, bound to the account that published it, and recorded in an append-only transparency log. The app and the command-line tools check that signature before a game loads, so the game you play is exactly the one its creator released, and a creator's name on a game means they published it.

Reporting, copyright and appeals

  • •
Report something. Use the Report option on any game, profile or message, or email report@gameweave.com. No account is needed.
  • •
Protect your work. If a game uses your art, rules text or name without permission, send a copyright notice to copyright@gameweave.com.
  • •
Contest a decision. If we acted on your account or your game and you think we got it wrong, write to appeals@gameweave.com within 90 days.
