Left, Center, Right
A fast party dice game of pure luck. Chips travel around the table until one
player is holding all of them.
Objective
Be the last player still holding at least one chip.
Setup
•
Chips: every player starts with 3 chips.
•
Dice: three identical LCR dice. Each die has six faces — one L, one
C, one R, and three blank dots. So on any single die you have a
1-in-6 chance of L, of C, and of R, and a 1-in-2 chance of a dot.
•
Center pot: starts empty.
Turn Structure
On your turn you roll one die per chip you hold, up to a maximum of three:
none — your turn is skipped
Press Roll. The dice are thrown and resolved immediately, one chip per die:
•
L — pass one chip to the player on your left.
•
R — pass one chip to the player on your right.
•
C — put one chip in the center pot.
•
Dot — keep the chip. Nothing happens.
Play then passes to the next seat on the left. Player 1 throws first in the
first game; the first thrower moves one seat to the left in each game after
that. Your dice stay on the table
until the next player rolls, so everyone can see what you threw.
Because you never roll more dice than you have chips, you can never be asked to
pass a chip you do not hold.
Being Out of Chips
If you have 0 chips you are still in the game. You simply do not roll —
your turn is skipped — and you stay seated. As soon as a neighbor rolls an L or
an R in your direction you receive chips again and start rolling on your next
turn.
You are only truly out when someone else has taken every chip in play.
The Center Pot
Chips sent to the center pot are gone for good. Nobody wins the pot; it is
simply how chips leave the game. This is what makes the game end — every C
shrinks the number of chips still circulating.
Winning
The moment only one player is holding chips, that player wins. It does not
matter how many chips they have or how many are sitting in the pot.
If every chip in play somehow ends up in the center pot, the game is a draw.
