Go Fish Rules

Objective

Collect the most "books" (sets of 4 cards of the same rank) by asking opponents for cards.

Setup

•
Players: 2-5 players
•
Deal:
•
2-3 players: 7 cards each
•
4-5 players: 5 cards each
•
Remaining cards form the draw pile (stock)

Gameplay

On Your Turn

1.
Ask for Cards: Choose an opponent and ask for all cards of a specific rank (e.g., "Do you have any 7s?")
•
You must have at least one card of that rank in your hand to ask for it
•
You can only ask one opponent per turn
2.
If the opponent has matching cards:
•
They must give you ALL cards of that rank
•
You get another turn (continue asking)
3.
If the opponent doesn't have matching cards:
•
They say "Go Fish!"
•
Draw one card from the stock pile
•
If the drawn card matches the rank you asked for, you get another turn
•
Otherwise, your turn ends

Forming Books

•
When you collect all 4 cards of the same rank, you immediately form a "book"
•
Place the book face-up in front of you
•
Books are removed from your hand and count toward your final score

Special Cases

•
Empty Hand: If you run out of cards during play, draw one card from the stock on your turn
•
Empty Stock: If the stock runs out, continue playing with the cards in hand until no more moves are possible

Winning

The game ends when all 13 books have been formed (or no more moves are possible).
The player with the most books wins!
In case of a tie, all tied players share the victory.
