Devil's Grip

Objective

Move all 96 cards (two standard decks with all Aces removed) onto four foundation piles, each built up in suit from 2 through King. Because the deck is doubled, each foundation holds two complete 2–King runs of its suit (24 cards).

Setup

1.
Deck: Two standard 52-card decks shuffled together; remove all eight Aces, leaving 96 cards.
2.
Tableau: Eight piles of three cards each, all dealt face up (24 cards).
3.
Stock: The remaining 72 cards, face down.
4.
Waste: Empty at the start.
5.
Foundations: Four empty piles — one each for hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades — waiting for the 2 of that suit.

Building Rules

Foundations

•
An empty foundation accepts only the 2 of its suit.
•
Build up in suit (2, 3, 4, … King).
•
After a King, you may place another 2 of the same suit and build a second 2–King run on the same foundation.
•
Each foundation is complete at 24 cards (two full 2–King sequences).

Tableau

•
Build down in the same suit (place a 7♥ on an 8♥).
•
Move one card at a time — only the top card of each pile (or the waste) is available.
•
Empty tableau piles may be filled with any single card.

Stock and Waste

•
Turn one card at a time from stock to waste.
•
The top waste card is always available for play to the tableau or foundations.
•
When the stock is empty there are no redeals — play continues with the waste and tableau until you win or no moves remain.

Winning

You win when all four foundations hold 24 cards each (every card of that suit from both decks, built 2→King twice).

Stuck / Restart

If no legal moves remain and cards are still off the foundations, the deal is stuck — start a new game for a fresh shuffle.
