Blackjack Showdown
Overview
A friendly, no-dealer game of 21 for 2–8 players around one table. Every round
everyone antes into a shared pot, is dealt two face-up cards, and either wins on
a natural or plays hit/stand in seat order. The best hand without going over 21
takes the pile.
Objective
Win the match by being the last player still able to ante. Along the way, win
each round's pot by holding the highest total of 21 or less.
Setup
•
2–8 players, each starting with 100 tokens.
•
A single shared 52-card deck (the shoe); spent cards form a discard pile that
is reshuffled back into the shoe whenever it runs out.
•
The fixed ante is 10 tokens.
•
All hands are dealt face up and stay public the entire game.
Card Values
1 or 11 — whichever is best without busting
Round Structure
1.
Ante — Every active player contributes 10 tokens to the pot. A player who
cannot afford the ante is eliminated (the last survivor is never eliminated).
2.
Deal — Each active player is dealt two face-up cards.
3.
Naturals — Any player dealt a two-card blackjack (Ace + a 10-value card)
wins immediately. All non-natural players fold that round and keep no claim to
the pot; their antes stay in the pile.
4.
Play — Starting with the round's first seat, each remaining player takes
turns choosing:
•
Hit — take another face-up card. Going over 21 is a bust: you are
out of the round and your ante stays in the pot.
•
Stand — keep your hand and pass to the next active seat.
5.
Resolution — Once everyone has stood or busted, the highest total of 21 or
less wins the pot.
6.
Round summary — Play pauses on a shared result screen listing every seat's
outcome. Someone at the table must click Next hand before the next ante
and deal begin, so every player can read the result.
Naturals
•
One natural — that player takes the whole pot.
•
Two or more naturals — the pot is split evenly among them; any indivisible
remainder carries to the next round.
•
Non-natural seats — fold for the round and take no turn.
Resolution
•
Single best hand — the highest total of 21 or less wins the whole pot.
•
Tie for best — the tied players split the pot evenly; any indivisible
remainder carries to the next round.
•
Everyone busts — nobody wins; the entire pot carries onto the next round's
fresh antes.
Special Rules
•
Rotating first seat — the seat that acts first rotates by one each round.
It rotates between games too: Player 1 acts first in the first round of the
first game, Player 2 in the first round of the next game, and so on.
•
Carried pot — a split remainder or an all-bust round leaves tokens in the
pot, stacking on top of the next round's antes.
•
Reshuffle — when the shoe empties mid-deal or mid-hit, the discard pile is
shuffled back into the shoe.
Winning
The match ends when only one player can still afford the ante. That player wins
and sweeps any tokens left carried in the pot.
